For George...Yes, they are legal in Texas and I can keep them in the city limits until they're about 30 pounds. I know of a few people killed last year, which is why I never go in with full grown cats. That's a bad situation for epople tryign to keep the population of esepcailly tigers going. There are elss than 2000 in the wild now. Irresposnible people who think they can be trusted 100% usually are the ones who get hurt. As for the story about the lion remembering thwe two men who raised and released him...I have no doubt they know exactly who they're "owners" are...and cant' tell you the number of times I've been recognized. Thanks for the comment.... Steve

Steve: I read your comment about having raised @ 12 lion cubs, and was curious about this. Are exotic pets, such as lions & tigers legal in Texas? They're not allowed here in Hawaii. I've also read that @ 20 people a year are killed, and @ 150 injured in the US, by exotic pets. Thanks, George
